MANILA — Ongpin Tower, the flagship residential project of Keen and Worth Property Developers Inc. (KWPDI), has reached its topping-off milestone, marking a key stage in the completion of the company’s first high-rise development in Binondo.
The ceremony, held on Dec. 6, 2025 at the project site along Ongpin Street, gathered representatives from the local government, real estate, brokerage, and investment sectors, signaling continued support for the development.
KWPDI President Kevin Wong said the project is envisioned to become a residential landmark that integrates modern living within the cultural context of Chinatown.
Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko” Moreno Domagoso, who attended the event, cited the project’s role in contributing to the ongoing redevelopment of the city.
“I think this is the best, luxurious, premium condo living in the heart of Chinatown, Ongpin,” Mr. Domagoso said, noting improved investor confidence in previously underutilized areas of Manila.
He added that the city government remains supportive of private sector-led developments that contribute to urban renewal.
The topping-off ceremony included traditional rites such as the ceremonial pouring and signing of the final structural beam, marking the completion of the building’s structural framework.
Ongpin Tower is located on a tri-corner property bounded by Ongpin Street, Gonzalo Puyat Street, and F. Torres Street in Binondo. The development features a low-density residential layout, with amenities including a sky park, swimming pool, fitness facilities, and dedicated communal spaces. Sustainability features, such as electric vehicle-ready parking, are also integrated into the project.
KWPDI said the project is positioned to benefit from Binondo’s strategic location and cultural significance, with demand supported by both end-users and investors.
With the structural milestone completed, Ongpin Tower is set to proceed to the next phase of development as scheduled.
